Bundesliga: Zorc talks about Favre’s way of working

Michael Zorc has been in football for “decades”, but Lucien Favre’s approach always surprises him, “Lucien Favre sometimes improves details that are new to me,” Zorc explained.

According to Zorc, the key to BVB’s leap to the top of the Bundesliga table was the change in the team. “We have learned the right lessons from last season. We have developed the right profiles of the players we need to make the team more stable,” Zorc said in front of the local derby against Schalke.

Despite the comfortable 19-point lead on Schalke, Zorc does not expect a runaway in the derby. “Of course we have a good position in the standings, but we want to expand it even further. Of course we know about the special meaning of this game. In recent years, however, we have also seen that it is not always the person who stands out better in the table who wins.”
