Borussia Dortmund’s sports director Michael Zorc is quite willing to talk about a transfer of Shinji Kagawa in the upcoming transfer window. The Japanese had recently spoken of a move to Spain, FC Sevilla seems to be interested in the BVB player.
“He is a deserving player and of course we can understand that the situation is unsatisfactory for him. We will certainly talk about it at the end of the first round if that is what we want,” Zorc told the Ruhrnachrichten.
Under Lucien Favre, Kagawa is rarely in demand at the moment and wants to make a change accordingly. The 29-year-old told Nikkan Sports: “I can’t end my career without going to Spain. I want to do that.”
According to the Ruhr news, the player had already received several inquiries from Spain in the summer, but the Dortmunders rejected a change at that time. This could be different in winter, reports the picture. FC Sevilla should have a concrete interest.
So a change to VfB Stuttgart would definitely be off the table. According to various sources, the Bundesliga club had thought about a transfer of Kagawas. The offensive midfielder is currently under contract with Borussia until summer 2020.
