Kevin Großkreutz keeps his fingers crossed for his ex-club in front of the Bundesliga Derby-Kracher by Borussia Dortmund against Schalke 04 (Saturday, 15.30 in LIVETICKER): “Of course I hope Dortmund wins. Maybe a 2:0 or 3:0. That would be perfect and then all of Dortmund can celebrate,” he said Sport1.
Großkreutz sees the current situation as positive: “They are doing very well at the moment, they remind me a bit of our times, super hungry troops that are giving gas. You’re right up there, but you have to keep going.” The Dortmund offensive duo Paco Alcacer and Mario Götze are raving about Großkreutz: “Sensational what Alcacer delivers. He’s just a killer outside the gate. And of course Mario is also a horny gambler.”
Großkreutz, who meanwhile plays for the third league team KFC Uerdingen, likes to remember his own time at BVB: “The first championship and the double when nobody expected us. Where we all came from was awesome! No one can take that away from me, so I don’t miss it, I’m proud of it.”
